The Town of Zionsville’s Community Enrichment Grant Committee awarded its spring 2023 grants, the fifth round of awards since the grant program launched in January of 2021. Seven local non-profits received grants with a total of $49,285 infused into the community.

The local non-profits that received funding are Azionaqua Swim Club ($9,000 grant), Indy Book Project, Inc ($3,760 grant), Maplelawn Farmstead ($6,500 grant), Shalom House ($7,000 grant), SullivanMunce Cultural Center ($14,525 grant), Zionsville Cultural District ($5,000 grant) and Zionsville Little League ($3,500 grant). As part of the 2023 budget, the Zionsville Town Council also funded $60,000 each to two other local non-profits – the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce and zWorks.

Grants will fund several community events and address community needs including food insecurity, safety and security. There is funding for upgraded electrical service, a volunteer management program, sidewalk repair, professional removal of a dead tree, sack lunches over the summer, GhostWalk improvements, a summer concert series and internet access.

Since Mayor Emily Styron launched the Zionsville Community Enrichment Grant program in 2021, local non-profits have received over $400,000 in funding. The Community Enrichment Grant Committee is a citizen-led committee with three members: Jennifer Cross, Lauren Hernandez-DeCrane and Allison Williams. Non-profits located in Boone County that serve Zionsville residents and businesses are encouraged to apply for funding.
