An old-fashioned winter complete with ice skating, the aroma of a crackling fire and the spirit of everyone’s favorite season is returning to Zionsville this winter during the second annual Winterfest presented by Century 21 Scheetz. Winterfest will take place from December 9 through January 2, 2023 at Mulberry Fields Park (9645 Whitestown Road). New to Winterfest is an ice skating rink larger in size, food trucks and a maker’s market.

Throughout Winterfest, visitors can enjoy ice skating on real ice, food and drink, a holiday maker's market, visits from Santa and his reindeer, park programming, sledding and more. A packed programming schedule of more than 45 events includes crafts, campfires and s’mores, themed skate events, Homeschool and Scout Days and more. All programs are free unless otherwise indicated.

“We are thrilled to bring back Winterfest and welcome visitors of all ages to skate under glowing lights on a larger ice skating rink,” said Parks Superintendent Jarod Logsdon. “Our team has been hard at work planning an event with a programming schedule to keep visitors coming back again and again.”

Visitors can purchase tickets in advance online or on-site at the event. Season tickets and exclusive ice rink rentals will be available for purchase online. Ice rink rental is $900 and includes exclusive use of the rink for 1.5 hours with a maximum occupancy of 120 people on the ice.

Free parking will be available at Mulberry Fields Park with additional lots of Zionsville United Methodist Church to the north and Zionsville Middle School to the south.

“With Winterfest, new traditions are created and our town shines – residents and visitors have an outdoor recreational opportunity and then explore the array of downtown shops and restaurants,” said Mayor Emily Styron. “I am grateful to our Parks and Recreation Department for bringing this wonderful experience to our community.”
