The Zionsville Town code project was put on a brief hold in early 2022 while the Town worked through several pressing priorities. The project team is pleased to share that the project is re-engaged and working toward issuing the Town Code for consideration by the Town Planning Commission and Town Council in early 2023.
The project team has created a preliminary draft that incorporates the feedback provided by members of the public that participated in the charrette process that took place in the Fall of 2021. In the Fall of 2022, the consultant team is conducting six technical review meetings with Town Staff to review and create a vetted Town Code for consideration by Planning Commission and Town Council. The Town Staff technical review process is included in the project scope and is an essential part of the process.
Public meeting schedule:
• November 21 Plan Commission: The consulting team will make a refresher presentation to the Plan Commission. The presentation will cover the findings of the 2021 charrette and an orientation to the Town Code in preparation for its release in early 2023.
• January 2023 (date TBD) Plan Commission: The Town Code will be released in a Plan Commission packet and on the project website (www.zionsvilletowncode.com). The consultant will facilitate a working session discussion. This may occur at the regular meeting on January 17 or as a special meeting.
