[ARCHIVED] Mayor Emily Styron and Town Council announce 2022 board/commission/committee appointments

Mayor Emily Styron has announced twelve new appointments and the Zionsville Town Council has announced six new appointments to Town of Zionsville boards, commissions and committees. These individuals give their time and expertise for the benefit of the community. 

During her time in office, Mayor Emily Styron has made it a priority to use the Town’s boards and commissions as a way to engage constituents in the civic process. “A focus of mine has been to add more diversity to Zionsville’s 30+ boards, commissions and committees,” said Mayor Emily Styron. “Despite the progress we have made, we do still have a way to go. I want to thank the many citizens who express their interest in serving by filling out the interest form on our website and by reaching out to me and to Town Council. Through the established Town of Zionsville boards and commissions, citizens can provide input on the policies that shape their government and our town.”

All appointments are for one-year terms with the exception of: Park Board (four-year term for Town Council appointments; one-year term for Mayoral appointments), the Park and Road Impact Fee Review Board (five-year term), the Plan Commission (four-year term), the Board of Zoning Appeals (four-year term), the Board of Police Commissioners (three-year term after initial term) and the Redevelopment Authority (three-year term). 

Mayoral new appointments:

  • Kathi Postlethwait and Andy Pickell to the Board of Zoning Appeals
  • Kellie Adams to the Plan Commission 
  • Pauline Codere to the Non-Discriminatory Practices Review Board
  • Amanda Rubeck to the Community Development Corporation
  • Coralee Palmer, Michal Owens and John Shertzer to the Climate Action Committee
  • Tony Merlie to the Park/Road Impact Fee Review Board
  • Allison Williams to the Zionsville Community Enrichment Grant Committee
  • Robbin Edwards and Katie Culp to the Redevelopment Authority 

Mayoral re-appointments:

  • Colleen Hittle, Kate Swanson and Jaclyn Spillane to the Redevelopment Commission 
  • Lauren Hernandez-Decrane, Wendy Schrepferman and Jennifer Cross to the Zionsville Community Enrichment Grant Committee 
  • John Stehr to the Park Board
  • Cindy Madrick to the Plan Commission
  • Chris Carriere to the Redevelopment Authority
  • Molly Hanlon, Chris Lake, Monisha Mitchell, Bethany Narkiewicz, Chad Smith, and Jason Plunkett to the Pedestrian Mobility Committee
  • Jill Pack, Eliana Armstrong, and Terry McCain to the Climate Action Committee
  • Patricia McCarthy, Ericka Pickell and Tammy Kelly to the Community Development Corporation 

Town Council new appointments:

  • Kristin Vargo and Graig Collins to the Board of Police Commissioners
  • Phil Mellencamp to the Pathway Committee
  • Craig Melton to the Boone County Solid Waste Management District Board
  • Justin Wagoner to the Architectural Review Committee
  • Jason Plunkett to the Union Township Building Corporation

Town Council re-appointments:

  • Tim Casady to the Park Board
  • Kent Esra and Sanjay Patel to the Redevelopment Commission 
  • Alex Choi, Jason Plunkett, Brad Burk, Krista Latham and Jeff Papa to the Safety Board
  • Joe Culp to the Board of Police Commissioners
  • Aaron Walton, Larry Jones and Paul Watson to the Zionsville Municipal Building Corporation
  • Sean McHale, Larry Jones and Craig Melton to the Zionsville-Eagle Township Municipal Building Corporation
  • Mark McDonald, Justin Hage, Quincy Cunningham, Emily Makison, Town Council ex-officio Craig Melton and Sarah Moore (appointed by Parks Board) to the Pathway Committee
  • Steven Lonn, Rob French and George Tikijian to the Zionsville Town Hall Building Corporation
  • Tom Casalini, Greta Sanderson and Town Council ex-officio Brad Burk to People of Zionsville for the Aesthetics of Zionsville
