The Town of Zionsville mourns the loss of Zionsville artist, philanthropist and resident Nancy Noel. Noel’s paintings of animals, Amish life, angels and African peoples, among other subjects, are loved by many here and throughout the world. Noel inspired us with her artistic brilliance and also her giving spirit. A longtime champion of animals and children, Noel created animal therapy programs for the disabled, was active in rescuing the endangered rhino population in Africa and established the N.A. Noel preschool in southern Kenya. Her timeless works will continue to inspire us for decades to come. The Town of Zionsville extends our condolences to her family, friends and colleagues and we join them in remembering her legacy.
