[ARCHIVED] An ace for Zionsville: Parks & Recreation Department adds pickleball courts

Lions Park pickleball courts

Zionsville residents can participate in a new sport thanks to the addition of pickleball courts. Both the basketball court at Heritage Trail Park and the two tennis courts at Lions Park are now striped for pickleball.

Because the new pickleball court at Heritage Trail Park is also a dual-purpose basketball court, players visiting this location will need to bring their own net.

This year the Zionsville Parks & Recreation Department did the striping at both locations to ensure residents have the means to play pickleball this season. Next spring the tennis courts at Lions Park will be professionally resurfaced and striped again for pickleball and tennis.

Residents interested in sharing feedback on pickleball or other park programming topics are encouraged to attend the upcoming Zionsville Parks & Recreation Programming Public Input Meeting on Tuesday, July 28 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Mulberry Fields (9645 Whitestown Road).
