[ARCHIVED] New signs indicating commercial and residential development filings have arrived

New Signs BZA DRAFT

Residents and visitors to Zionsville will see signs placed on properties to indicate future proposed development projects. These signs will offer the opportunity to receive advance notice of a commercial or residential development proposal that has been filed with the Board of Zoning Appeals and Plan Commission.

The first set of signs indicating future proposed development projects have arrived. These are currently placed at the location of the filings as part of the May 6 Board of Zoning Appeals meeting. All agendas from June 2020 and after will have signs.

Each sign will have a QR code. Simply point your smartphone camera at this code to link to the Town of Zionsville website with more information about projects. All filings with the Board of Zoning Appeals and Plan Commission will be accessible by visiting the information listed on the sign.

“These signs provide a very visible way for people to see projects before Town boards or commissions. We have developed a design that is user-friendly and will give people direct access to information related to development projects,” said Mayor Styron.

Since Mayor Styron announced this project during the State of the Town, these signs have been under design and are currently in production.
