[ARCHIVED] Sycamore Street bridge project to begin in February

Zionsville


The reconstruction project for the Sycamore Street bridge is scheduled to begin Feb. 3, 2020. This project involves the reconstruction of the road bridge deck and bridge railing systems and provides new decorative lighting on the rehabilitated bridge.


During construction the bridge will be closed to through traffic. The official detour will utilize US 421/Michigan Road, 106th Street and Main Street.


The trail system under the bridge connecting Lions Park to Creekside Park will be closed throughout the project. The pedestrian bridge and trail system along Sycamore Street are anticipated to remain open to the public with only periodic closures for safety.


WHEN:

The bridge will be closed beginning on or after Feb. 3, 2020. The currently scheduled date of reopening is Aug. 21, 2020.


WHERE:

The bridge on Sycamore Street near Lions Park and over Eagle Creek.
