Total Eclipse of the Park

Total Eclipse of the Park is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! On Monday, April 8, the Zionsville Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with other Zionsville community groups, will host a viewing party at Mulberry Fields Park from 1 - 5 p.m. Grab your lawn chairs and join us in the field. 

  • Enjoy STEAM activities that educate and excite on different topics of the solar eclipse
  • Travel our accessible eclipse walk and discover the distance and science behind the eclipse
  • Don't want to park at Mulberry Fields Park? Take the Big-4 Rail Trail and jump on the ET Family FUN Bike Ride to the park
  • Create found art experiments
  • Snag a selfie with the Star Wars Indiana 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, and Mando Mercs.
  • DJ music, food trucks, and more!

Event Schedule

1 p.m. Event start - food trucks, activity stations open, DJ music by pickleball courts

1:30 pm ET Family FUN Ride leaves from Zionsville Road Trailhead (feel free to join the ride anywhere along the rail trail from Zionsville Road to Whitestown Road) Ride ends at Zionsville United Methodist Church

2:30 pm Bubble machine starts - Zionsville Parks and Recreation begin handing out glowsticks as supplies last

2:45 pm activity stations temporarily close, DJ Music stops

3:06 - 3:09 pm Totality!

3:15 pm activity stations reopen

4:45 pm all activities close down

5:00 pm Event ends
