Public Education Request

Are you hosting an event and would like to see members of the Zionsville Fire Department as part of your festivities? ZFD can provide great community-centered public education services including attending community events, church festivals, hosting station tours, firefighter chats and school-related presentations.

Schools and Community

Educating students from pre-school through 5th grade, our firefighters plant the seeds of fire and life safety which will keep our students safe for years to come. Zionsville Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Division is often part of town-wide events.

Fire Extinguisher Training Information

Using a propane-fueled fire simulator trainees are given an experience where they can feel the heat of a controlled fire and discharge a water-based fire extinguisher. This training is offered to groups for a fee based on group size. For more information or to schedule this training opportunity contact Public Educator Vincent Randolph.

Complete the form below. Please attach an event layout if available. If possible, please submit your request at least three weeks before your event date.

We try our best to accommodate your request, however, previously scheduled events may keep us from being able to fulfill every request. Please note, all crews are assigned INSERVICE, which means they may have to respond to an emergency during their scheduled time with you. Please keep this in mind when considering the placement of our crews and apparatus. This may also affect their ability to arrive at your event.
