the “Secure Indiana Scholarship” is now available on the website. In addition to awarding grants to assist Hoosier first responder organizations, the Foundation is using stewardship funds to award scholarships to promote careers and volunteerism with these organizations. The scholarship is available to Indiana residents who: are currently a volunteer for a public safety organization, are pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited Indiana college, have a minimum 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and want to pursue a career in public safety. The Foundation will be awarding up to 20 scholarships (no more than 2 per Congressional Homeland Security district) with full-time students eligible to receive a $2,000 award and part-time students eligible to receive a $1,000 award.
