Bronze level bicycle friendly community designation presented

4 people accepting a Bicycle Friendly Community award

During Tuesday night’s Town Council meeting Nancy Tibbett from the Bicycle Indiana Coalition presented the Town of Zionsville with our Bronze designation from the League of American Bicyclists as a Bicycle Friendly Community.

Zionsville becomes one of only eight currently successful applicants in the State of Indiana identified as a Bicycle Friendly Community. Nationwide, the Town of Zionsville joins the ranks of the only 350 communities who are so awarded.

"Zionsville is extremely pleased to be nationally recognized for its long term efforts to strengthen the already substantial health, safety, quality of life and economic opportunities offered to its citizens and visitors,” stated Phil Howard, a member of the Zionsville Board of Park and Recreation and the Town’s Pathway Committee.
