December Programs

Winter Camp at Home

This program will engage and encourage kids and families to get out in nature this winter. Since we cannot hold our traditional Winter Break Camp at Zion Nature Center we are instead bringing the camp experience into your home during winter break.

Each kit is packed full of supplies for nature activities your child can do at home.  Each activity will have an accompanying Zoom lesson (December 21, 22, 28 & 29) with one of our Nature Center Naturalists that explores the topic and walks you through the activity. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, and each Zoom program will be recorded for families who cannot participate live.

Thursday, December 31 - Noon Year’s Eve – Virtually!

New Year’s Eve is a great time to celebrate all we’ve done and all we wish for the coming year. However, midnight can come too late for young ones, and let’s face it, sometimes the adults. Join the Zion Nature Center virtually as we have a good time celebrating the New Year a little early. Meet some of the nature center animals, create a craft, and count down to a balloon drop at Noon!
