Meet other experienced and beginner native plant gardeners for our first ever Zionsville Parks Native Seed Swap. Saving seed to propagate your own plants is a rewarding way to expand your native plant garden and share your favorites with friends. We’ll also discuss the tricks of winter sowing with cold stratification to grow your own plants outside in recycled plastic containers.

Collected seed must be a native Indiana wildflower species, the plant you collected from was not treated with any herbicide or pesticide, and the seed was collected from your own yard or you had permission from the land owner to collect. Please do not collect from our parks.

Saturday, October 24 - Not So Scary Night Hike

Are you afraid of the dark?  You don’t need to be!  During this night hike, we will explore how animals find their way through the night and test our own senses in the dark.

Saturday, October 31 - Trick or Trees

Come dressed in your favorite family friendly costume and explore the forest in fall along our not-so-spooky Trick or Trees trail. Then warm up by the campfire as you grab a treat to take home.
